Check in and local rules

When you visit us at Skydive SYD there are a few things you need to bring with you and keep in mind to get off to a smooth start. First of all, you need your certificate, rig, packing journal and contact details.

To make it easier for everyone, we recommend that you check in either in the morning or in the evening. In the middle of the day, it may be more difficult for our manifester to give you the attention you deserve. Every season we weigh all jumpers with full equipment, so don’t forget to bring everything you need when you jump. It is also important that you are properly briefed on our jump routines here at Skydive SYD. You can get help with this from the jump leader or one of our instructors.

Requirements for you and your equipment:
– Valid license
– Equipment that has been repacked within the last 12 months and inspected within the last 6 months.
– AAD is a requirement.
– Hook turns are allowed on the D field. (You will be briefed about this upon check-in)
– Camera setup that is either:
• Snag free – designed to prevent snagging, i.e. no “waist”, protruding parts, etc. (Snagfree = nothing can get stuck, like lines, gloves, other jumpers’ equipment, etc.)
• Detachable – if the assembly is not deemed to be “snag free”, the helmet/assembly must be detachable. The picture below shows some examples of different assemblies and constructions, both what is available on the market and home-built solutions.

A warm welcome to Skydive SYD, we hope you have a great experience with us!

Information

Opening hours and event

When the weather is good, we are open on weekends and some weekdays. During the season, we have both spontaneous and well-planned events, everything from balloon jumps to piñata precision.

Also take a look at our calendar and follow us on social media!

Airplane

At Skydive SYD – Skåne’s parachute centre, we are lucky enough to fly with a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan. Since 2021 we fly with a brand new engine, a Blackhawk Aerospace PT6A-140 and have a turnaround time of about 18 minutes (to 4000m).
For those interested, you can read more here: Blackhawk Aerospace PT6A-140

The aircraft takes up to 18 jumpers including tandem jumpers and tandem pilot.

Hangar and clubhouse

Daily operations take place at our hangar where there is plenty of space to pack under roof and on soft ground. In the hangar, we can easily watch our jump films and brief the next jump and there is the possibility of easier heating of food, etc.

SYD has a clubhouse available if required. The club house has plenty of sleeping places, a fully equipped kitchen, shower and toilets. There is a large classroom and areas to hang out on. The cabin is old and the condition is a little worse.

If you need accommodation, please contact us in advance.

In addition to this, the field is located in Eslöv and within walking distance to a shopping area with many options for food. From Eslöv Central Station you can easily get around Skåne and quickly over to Copenhagen.

Jumping field

Our landing area in Eslöv is excellent for skydiving regardless of your experience level. We have approx. 260 ha of fields that extend generously in all wind directions. Outside the landing area are large fields and it is a long way to water.

We share the area with the Flying Club, the Model Flying Club, the Skåne Gyrocopter Club and Eslöv’s young wings, so there are often interesting activities going on during fine summer days. Among other things, we have a joint event called the family flight day, which is usually very appreciated by residents nearby! In 2024, this event took place on June 29th.

Less than 30 minutes from Malmö!
